ChatGPT Ads in Poland: How OpenAI’s Advertising System Works and How to Leverage It in Marketing
ChatGPT Ads is OpenAI’s new advertising channel. Self-serve Ads Manager access is available in Poland, but the platform remains in Beta and deserves disciplined testing.
In brief
OpenAI announced its European ads expansion on 18 August 2026 and made self-serve Ads Manager available across 31 European markets, including Poland, on 31 August. Ads are separate from ChatGPT answers, clearly labelled, and advertisers do not receive users’ conversations or personal data.
What is available in Poland?
Poland is on the current list of countries with self-serve Ads Manager availability. The legal entity that runs the ads and receives invoices must be based in a country OpenAI marks as available.
Creating an account does not itself mean ads can run immediately. The account goes through onboarding, verification, billing setup, and an OpenAI ads-policy review. Campaigns cannot deliver until the required steps have been completed.
How are ads separated from answers?
OpenAI states that ads in ChatGPT are always clearly labelled and separate from model answers. Advertisers cannot buy influence over an answer or a recommendation, and advertising does not affect the answer ChatGPT provides.
Treat this as a distinct paid format, not as a way to insert a brand into generated copy. Exact ad formats and creative fields may change as the Beta develops.
Who may see ads, and what happens to data?
For the European expansion, OpenAI says ads are shown to people on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro, and Enterprise remain ad-free. People also have controls over ad personalisation and a way to use ChatGPT without ads under specified conditions.
Advertisers do not receive chats, conversation history, memory, names, email addresses, precise location, IP addresses, or sensitive information. OpenAI also says it does not sell user data to advertisers. Check the current documentation before launch, as personalisation controls and feature availability can change.
How do you set up an Ads Manager account?
Start at ads.openai.com with an OpenAI account. Set up the business details, website, logo, industry, country, currency, and time zone, then complete verification and billing.
The country or region, billing currency, and time zone selected at account creation cannot later be changed through self-service. Confirm them before submitting, as an error may require a new ad account.
Which campaign objectives and billing models are available?
An Ads Manager campaign can use Views, Clicks, or Conversions as its objective. Views are billed on CPM, Clicks on CPC, and Conversions optimise delivery towards a selected supported conversion event.
Budgets can be set for a whole campaign or per day. Do not build a plan around unverified fixed CPCs or minimum budgets: the Beta interface and available options can change, so confirm them in the account before approving spend.
Measurement: what should be ready before a test?
OpenAI is expanding measurement beyond clicks through the OpenAI Pixel, Conversions API, and third-party measurement integrations. For a conversion campaign, first identify the business event that matters and make sure it is measured correctly.
Keep UTM parameters and your own GA4 measurement alongside platform reporting. This does not replace Ads Manager reporting, but it makes it easier to assess landing-page quality, conversions, and later attribution.
How should this channel fit into the media mix?
There is not yet a long enough Polish campaign history to honestly promise a cost per lead or an advantage over Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Meta Ads. Start with a small, isolated test: one objective, sound measurement, and a clear budget ceiling.
A sensible first use case is an offer people naturally research and compare before choosing: a complex B2B service, a SaaS tool, a product that needs explanation, or a higher-consideration purchase. The ad and landing page should help with that need, not imply that ads can alter a ChatGPT answer.
After the test, compare more than clicks: session quality, cost per valuable conversion, and feedback from sales. Only then decide whether the channel merits more budget.
